RockFeel is deveoloping both of its technology platforms for strong partners/customers, which dominate worldwide market for mining and construction machinery in their special fields. They earn benefits from our expertise in sensors and data analysis as well as our technical competece in application environments. They get competitional advantage by our add-on components, which we will produce with regional and German as well as Europan partners. RockFeel’s innovations are protected by pending patent applications.

We have already successfully tested our solutions above as well as underground, with our own cutter head and also on a Road header and a surface miner, both in active mineral production. By cooperation agreement, we can use unique equipment of TU Freiberg

• RockFeel’s wear monitoring system CWA both reduces running costs for regular pick inspection and avoids exorbitant opportunity costs and repair cost caused by havaries, which occur if rapid pick wear or even break goes without notice. Here scaling potential is especially high because of direkt transferability of solutions developed in the mining sector to construction machinery!

• RockFeel’s Rock strength monitoring system RFA enables immediate adaptation of operation to unexpected change of ore strength, actually avoiding extreme wear of picks and machine (most mineral deposits contain hard inclusions , which put massive stress on picks optimized for normal ore strength, .g. Anhydrite dykes in rock salt or Kieserite- and salt clay layers in potash, marl stone in coal). This reduces the main cost factor – pick wear –  and increases productivity.
