RockFeel has profound expertise in hard rock cutting technology development from years of cutting edge R&D in the field. We offer for this purpose a variety of cutting and cutting technoloigy tests on a singular outstanding test rig at our disposal in Freiberg

• Measuring cutting force components for large rock samples
• Optimization of geometric and other parameters of cutting tools
• Measurement and determination of optimum cutting energy
• Analysis of particle size distribution depending on various cutting parameters
• In-depth pick wear analysis (3D-Scan)
• Analysis of spatial pick movement while cutting
• Emulation of cutting under water or mud

RockFeel is entitled to run these tests under well defined and replicable conditions on the linear Cutting Test Rig at Institute for Mining of TU Bergakademie Freiberg. We may also test under field-like conditions with a mid-range cutterhead ER650 (80kW), at a testing areal with concrete or directly at your mine or construction site. RockFeel may also run tests with RockFeel prototypes or other measrement equipment mounted on customer devices.
